Biography

Dr. Kunoor Jain-Spangler is a General and Bariatric Surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at Duke University. She is currently the Fellowship Director of the Advanced GI/MIS and Bariatric Surgery Fellowships which have 3 clinical fellows each year. Dr. Jain-Spangler is very active within the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) where she is Co-Chair of the Bariatric Surgery Training Committee and serves as a moderator for two national webinars created by the Committee. She has published many articles and book chapters and is on the Editorial Board for SOARD. Finally, she is the past Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within Duke Surgery.
