Biography

Dr. Kajese is a professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School, University of Texas – Houston. She is the former Program Director for the Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Memorial Hermann, Memorial City. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Her medical school and residency training were then completed at the University of Kansas. She subsequently moved to Texas to obtain her fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.

She is currently Co-Chair on the ASMBS Access to Care Committee and is the Texas state representative for that committee. She is active in the Texas Association for Bariatric Surgery, and currently serves as their Treasurer. She also holds multiple administrative and leadership roles at Memorial Hermann Memorial City hospital. She is passionate about the clinical treatment of obesity and is privileged to have a busy practice in primary and revisional metabolic surgery as well as foregut surgery in Houston, TX.
